Finasi presents the “Living Lounge Loft” at Downtown Design 2024, a concept at the forefront of design evolution that emphasizes interconnection, conviviality, and multifunctional open spaces. This installation, born from a collaboration with the renowned Italian brand Cappellini, seamlessly integrates Finasi’s bespoke, locally crafted kitchen and wardrobe solutions with Cappellini’s iconic furniture, resulting in a sophisticated, elegant environment.

The Island Kitchen

A Hub of Social Interaction

Reflecting the latest architectural trends, the kitchen is a cornerstone of the home’s overall design. In this installation, a luxurious island kitchen seamlessly integrates into the spacious Living Lounge Loft, catering to the modern desire for convivial family gatherings. By positioning cooking and cleaning areas to face the living area rather than a wall, the island kitchen transforms traditional cooking spaces into vibrant social hubs.

Thoughtful Design Elements and Smart and Functional Features

The Finasi Technical Team has curated a harmonious blend of stone and wood, utilizing both natural and engineered materials. A hidden door system maintains a sleek, linear aesthetic by concealing appliances when not in use. Integrated LED lighting, strategically placed on shelves, highlights key design elements and enhancing functionality. The show kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and smart technology, including a smart sink that allows users to wash vegetables through an app, promoting efficiency and resourcefulness. Ample storage solutions, including specialized cutlery drawers, ensure everything has its place.

A New Approach to Home Design

Designed and manufactured locally, this kitchen is crafted using state-of-the-art international machinery while addressing specific regional needs. For example, due to higher humidity levels in this geographical area, we opt for MDF over the more commonly used particleboard found in Europe and elsewhere. This choice ensures enhanced durability and efficiency.

By prioritizing local production, we not only save time but also minimize environmental impact, creating spaces that reflect modern living and responsible design.

Cappellini

Design That Inspires

In this interconnected lounge, Cappellini enriches the space with distinctive pieces that add personality and value. Cappellini is a fusion of boldness and elegance and its creations embody a strong design ethos while seamlessly blending with different aesthetics.

An Immersive Experience

The stand offers visitors an immersive experience that evokes the warmth and familiarity of home. An archway formed by the modular Cloud bookshelf invites guests into the Living Lounge Loft, blurring the lines between the exhibition space and a cozy living area. Designed in 2004 by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Cloud bookshelf is celebrated for its versatility and flexibility, and it adds a touch of lightness to any setting.

This innovative entryway introduces a comfortable atmosphere where social interactions reflect those at home, all with a stylish flair. The Geometrica Armchairh and Revolving Cabinet infuse dynamism into the space, while the Oblug Plus Modular Seating System provides chic comfort in a soft beige fabric.
The Proust Geometrica Armchair, designed by Alessandro Mendini in 2009, is a design icon that modernizes the original version he created in 1978. The Revolving Cabinet, crafted by Shiro Kuramata in 1970, resembles a mobile sculpture with its glossy red acrylic and 20 rotating drawers, embodying Kuramata’s innovative and playful design vision.

Nearly 20 years after its debut, Jasper Morrison’s Oblong System has been reimagined to enhance flexibility and ergonomics. The Oblong Plus Modular Seating System now offers even more adaptable and comfortable solutions for any space.

This multifunctional, customizable cabinet serves multiple purposes: it can act as a room separator, bookshelf, bar counter, or wardrobe. Designed to be either linear or L-shaped, its tinted glass finish—available in various shades from black to bronze—enhances any aesthetic.
This innovative design creates a sense of partition without closing off spaces, fostering greater interconnectedness throughout the environment. It adds depth and perspective, enriching the overall aesthetic of the space.
